The Belle Vista Men’s Chorus is happy to welcome our new Director, Bill Hesse.

We are looking forward to another year of bringing song to our schools and community.

We are running the race and we hope our song will make a difference.

Introducing Bill Hesse

Bill moved to Bella Vista in August of 2009, retiring after a 35 year career teaching elementary and middle school music in Dubuque, IA.  He received his B.A. in Voice and his M.A. in Music Education at the University of Northern Iowa.

In addition to teaching, Bill taught as an adjunct at Loras College, directed a community children’s choir and, most recently, coordinated music at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dubuque, conducting the children’s and adult choirs.  He also has experience as a clinician in movement and dance and an adjudicator for choral contests Iowa and Illinois.

His wife, Pat, is a developmental editor for McGraw-Hill Publishing, working out of the home.  They have two dogs and four cats.  Other interests include reading, dancing (ballet, really!), theatre and cycling.  Recently, he appeared as the King in Big River at Rogers Little Theatre.
